Our Process

While we're happy to work on any aspect or phase of your project, our general work process is described below.

Consultation & Strategic Planning
Whether you're interested in leveraging digital media assets to ensure they effectively support and communicate your mission and goals, or developing a long-term digital media plan, we can help.

We offer an initial evaluation of your current media assets and future media plans. Based on our evaluation, we also offer longer-term planning services culminating in the development of a strategic digital media plan that may include suggestions for the development of future, targeted media products that align with your audience engagement goals.

Products developed during this phase may include an Initial Digital Media Evaluation and a Strategic Digital Media Plan.  
Digital Media Design Development & Prototyping
Should you choose Hoot Owl to produce digital media or content, we will work collaboratively with your team to develop the conceptual framework for the project and each of the deliverables.

Iteration is critical to our process--we want to get the design and content right! We have worked across a variety of projects and scales--from designing and prototyping for digital content platforms and museum exhibitions, to stand-alone educational media experiences. 

Products developed early in this phase include preliminary content outlines, cost estimates, and a proposed project schedule. They may also include initial prototypes for review.
Production Services
The production stage of any media project requires careful attention to detail and technical expertise to ensure the final product functions when, where, and as it should.

Our team will provide the support you need to smoothly move your media project from prototype through production. We can also work with you to develop branding and graphics.
